Adoçim Cement - MARMARA CLINKER
STOCKHOLE ROOF MEASUREMENT
3D Geometry Analysis with Laser Scanner Systems
A comprehensive 3D geometry analysis project was conducted to examine the structural safety and current form of the high-capacity clinker stockyard located at Adoçim Cement's Marmara facilities. Details that are impossible to access using traditional methods in such large-span and high-altitude industrial structures were recorded using our advanced laser scanning solutions.
As part of the field work, a high-density digital twin (point cloud) consisting of millions of points of the roof structure and support system was created using a Leica RTC360 3D Laser Scanner.
The sensitive data obtained was transferred to a CAD platform, an advanced engineering software, and subjected to detailed analysis. The following technical studies were carried out during this process:
Surface Analysis: Deviations from the planarity of the roof surface and changes in form were detected with millimeter accuracy.
Deformation Maps: By comparing design data (CAD) with existing condition data, deflection, bending, or structural deterioration that occurs in the structure over time is reported in the form of heat maps.
Geometric Control: Critical data for the structural integrity of the building was provided by analyzing the verticality of the load-bearing columns and the geometric accuracy of the main beams.
Values Added by the Project:
Occupational Health and Safety (OHS): Complete data collection has been achieved safely and contactlessly from the ground, without the need to send personnel to high-altitude roof areas.
Preventive Maintenance: By detecting micron-level movements in the structure, an engineering foundation is established to prevent potential major failures or risks.
Precise Reporting: Maintenance teams and structural engineers have been provided with a concrete, numerical, and visual data set.
