Survey Project of Beyoğlu with Laser Scanner Systems

In this project, carried out to document the cultural and architectural heritage of Beyoğlu, we conducted a detailed survey using three-dimensional laser scanning technologies. During the eight-day fieldwork, all interior and exterior areas of the building were scanned with millimetric accuracy using the high-precision RTC360 laser scanner. The dense point cloud data obtained was comprehensively processed to generate accurate as-built plans of the existing structure.

At the end of the data processing stage, technical drawings were produced, including floor plans, ceiling plans, architectural section drawings, and silhouette views, reflecting all characteristic elements of the building. Additionally, on-site HDR photographs and orthophoto visuals generated from the scans contributed to the visual documentation of the current condition of the structure. These documents provide high-accuracy, high-detail outputs suitable for use in many disciplines, from conservation zoning plans to restoration projects.

In this project, KG Mühendislik adopted a contemporary approach to the documentation of cultural heritage, combining technological infrastructure, field experience, and expertise in digital modeling. Below, you can explore selected visuals, plans, and outputs from the project in detail.
