Bomonti Residence – Retaining Wall Deformation Monitoring

Periodic Measurement and Monitoring of Retaining Wall Movements with Total Station

In the Bomonti Residence project, we conducted a deformation monitoring study to track the positional changes of the retaining wall over time. Using a Leica total station, we made periodic measurements at monitoring points to evaluate the wall's movements in horizontal and vertical directions.

We compared the data obtained during the measurement periods with the initial and previous period results by checking them against reference points. Through these comparisons, we determined the direction and magnitude of the displacements at the monitoring points, thus recording the wall's behavior over time.

  • Reference and Tracking Points: To enable comparison of measurements between periods, we monitored the tracking points on the wall, checking the consistency of the reference points.

  • Periodic Total Station Measurements: We tracked changes in position and elevation by measuring the same points at different times.

  • Periodic Displacement Analysis: By evaluating coordinate differences along with measurement accuracy, we examined the direction and magnitude of possible movements.

  • Reporting Results: We presented periodic measurement and comparison results in a format suitable for use in engineering evaluations.

By monitoring the deformation we conducted, we documented the behavior of the retaining wall between measurement periods, providing measurement-based data for technical evaluation and field inspection processes.
