Bursa Hayat Hospital – 2D Facade Survey
Terrestrial Laser Scanning with Leica RTC360 and Facade Drawings in AutoCAD Environment
We conducted a 2D facade survey of Hayat Hospital to document its existing facades and provide a basis for architectural studies. Using a Leica RTC360 terrestrial laser scanner, we scanned the building's facades and transferred the building's external geometry and the positions of its facade elements into a three-dimensional point cloud environment.
We combined the field scanning data in Cyclone REGISTER 360 software to create the point cloud that forms the basis for the facade drawings. Using this data as a reference, we prepared two-dimensional facade views in AutoCAD. Window and door openings, floor levels, facade projections, and architectural details visible in the scanning were incorporated into the drawings according to their existing conditions.
Documentation of Facades with Laser Scanning: We recorded the facade surfaces and the geometric relationships between the building elements.
Generating 2D Drawings from Point Cloud: We created elevation views in AutoCAD based on scanning data.
Architectural Detail Processing: We have shown the details defining openings, surface transitions, and facade layout in the drawings.
Dimensioned Survey Base: We have prepared drawings that include the existing dimensions and elevation relationships of the facades, which can be used in architectural evaluations.
By preparing 2D facade surveys, we documented the existing exterior appearance of Hayat Hospital, providing a foundation for facade renovation, design, and implementation studies.
