Konya Meram Train Station – Measurement of Two Station Buildings and
Orthophoto Production

We conducted measurements and produced orthophotos to document the current state of two train station buildings in the Meram district of Konya and to provide a basis for architectural studies. By recording the architectural features and existing geometry of both structures, we prepared a documentation infrastructure that can be used in subsequent inspection and design processes.

During our field work, we measured the train station buildings, obtaining data that revealed the general form of the structures and the relationships between their architectural elements. While considering the two buildings according to their own architectural characteristics, we followed a consistent documentation approach throughout the study. In this way, we created a dataset that reflects the condition of the structures at the time of measurement and provides a source for architectural evaluations.

Using the orthophotos we produced from the obtained data, we made it possible to examine building surfaces at scale and with orthogonal projections. These images, which allow architectural elements and surface details to be read while preserving their dimensional relationships, provided a reference for transferring the current situation to a drawing environment. We prepared orthophotos, which allow for examination at different levels from the general appearance to the details of the buildings, as base maps that can be used in architectural documentation studies.

The orthophotos created within the scope of this study serve as a resource to support the development of survey drawings and the evaluation of the current condition of structures. They also record the condition of the buildings at the time of the study, providing a visual and measurable reference infrastructure for future inspections and comparisons.

As KG Engineering, we have brought the architectural features of the two station buildings at Konya Meram Train Station into the technical documentation process through the measurements and orthophoto production we carried out. By transforming the field data into usable project base maps, we have contributed to enabling subsequent architectural studies to be carried out based on information from the current situation.
