
Tüpraş Pipeline Reverse Engineering Project using Laser Scanning
3D Surveying Service with Terrestrial Laser Scanners
We successfully completed the digitalization project of complex pipe racks, storage tank connections, and process lines within TÜPRAŞ, one of Türkiye's leading refinery companies. In this facility, which contains flammable, explosive, and hazardous environments, we carried out reverse engineering processes using our Terrestrial Laser Scanning technology, which provides error-free and rapid data collection without compromising occupational safety and health (OSH) standards.
As part of the project, we used advanced 3D laser scanners to record the geometric structure, diameters, valve and flange connections of the existing pipelines in the refinery area with millimeter accuracy.
Contactless and Safe Measurement in Hazardous Areas: We have digitized pipelines that are impossible or highly inaccessible with traditional measurement methods, thanks to remote scanning technology, ensuring zero contact and maximum safety.
Intelligent Pipe Modeling (Isogen and P&ID Integration): Thanks to the millions of points of intelligent data (Point Cloud) we obtained, pipe slopes, sags, flange positions, and deformations were fully detected. This data was processed with reverse engineering software and converted into as-built 3D solid models and isometric plans of the facility.
Maintenance, Modernization, and Revision Platform: The flawless 3D survey models we produced provided Tüpraş engineers with a perfect and dynamic digital platform for new line additions (revisions), part replacements, stress analyses, and flow simulations to be carried out in the factory.
A Reliable Solution Partner for Industrial Giants: In the Tüpraş project, which we carried out in full compliance with heavy industry and refinery standards, we set a new standard in industrial plant management by combining terrestrial laser scanning technology with millimeter-accurate surveying and reverse engineering disciplines.
